Cassettes are coming back

   

Cassettes are coming back! There's no wonder why... 

They are the best audio media that will ever be!

Long before cassettes, there were vinyls. Vinyls where big black disks that once you start playing you couldn't pause it until you finished the side. It was annoying because you couldn't do anything else if needed, not even going to the toilet, without missing a part of the record. Despite all that, vinyls were revolutionary.

Then the reel-to-reel magnetic tape was invented. The device and rollers were big, used for recording in professional studios but also to listen to music at home. Because it was very expensive, it wasn't received so good. The biggest changes brought by this were the magnetic tape and the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind.

The reel-to reel magnetic tape was followed by the 8-track cassette. This new idea flowed due to many reasons, including the fact that it didn't bring anything new.

Then it was time for a new invention: the compact cassette, also known just as cassette. It was and it still is the best audio format ever created. It is nearly indestructible and the sound quality is great. It's cheap, unlike the reel-to-reel magnetic tape. It has that analog feel to it, unlike CD or mp3. There are great albums still produced today on cassettes. And they're cheaper then any other format.

  This is why audio cassettes are still great today!
